About Us

West OK Journal is a blog about life in Western Oklahoma. 

West OK Journal (WOJ) began as a local blog for Elk City, Oklahoma, called Blog Elk City.  Soon a group of us got together and decided to expand Blog Elk City into something more area wide, thus WOJ was born.  WOJ hopes to provide you with news, information, and commentary from western Oklahoma.  In addition to our blog we've added a community calendar using Google Calendar, an area wide information wiki using PBWiki, and social network with Ning.
